The purpose of this booklet is to describe and illustrate the various sampling systems and mechanisms used by Lucius Pitkin, Inc. at Grand Junction, Colorado, for the sampling of uranium concentrates purchased by the United States Atomic Energy Commission at that location. These samplers may be of interest for use in other industries where product characteristics and values necessitate careful and accurate sampling.
