QUARTERLY REPORT QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM FOR COUNTING INSTRUMENTS AND TECHNIQUES USED IN THE RADIO AND SPECIAL ANALYSIS LABORATORY -January 1, to March 31, 1968

This is the first quarterly report of the "Quality Control Program for Counting Instruments and Techniques Used in the Radio and Special Analysis Laboratory". Sources of Pu-239 and UX2 were counted respectively with the gross-alpha and beta counters. Single nuclides including Cs-137 and I-131 were analyzed using the NaI(Tl) detection system. A mixed source of I-131, Te-I-132, Te-129, Cs-137, and Ru-103 was analyzed using the SHIFTY III computer program for calculation of the Nal(Tl) spectral data. A mixed source of Ce-Pr-l44, Ru-106, Cs-137, and Zr-Nb-95 was analyzed by gamma nullification of NaI(Tl) spectral data using a ND-180, 512-channel analyzer.
