The application of differential optical absorption (DOA) techniques for the in-situ determination of the chemical composition of fossil fuel combustion streams is investigated. Absorption spectra of relevant molecular species and the temperature and pressure effects on DOA-determined spectral characteristics of these species will be determined and catalogued.
