Continental Shelf Broadband Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Facility

The following instruments were purchased from RD Instruments (RDI): six (6) 300 kHz Workhorse Sentinel Broadband Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP's); one: (1) 150 kHz Broadband Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler; and two (2) accessory battery packs. These instruments were deployed repeatedly in support of the ONR-sponsored research of litoral internal waves. The equipment is part of a pool maintained at the UCSD/SIO Hydraulics Lab and available to any investigator for the cost of preparation and a modest maintenance fee.
