Effective system engineering requires appropriate standardized, operational scenarios that have been approved by the Joint Community. Using these scenarios engineers can make engineering and investment trades and objectively evaluate integrated system performance. Jointly developed operational scenarios support military analysis. When defining campaigns scenario vignettes and excursions for Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Hardware- in-the-Loop (HWIL), Operator-in-the-Loop (OITL), and live exercises to assist in analyses, a common operational context provides assessment consistency across the various analytic venues available to JSSEO.
