Australian Defence Risk Management Framework: A Comparative Study

摘要

In early 2002, the Secretary of Defence and the Chief of Defence Force endorsed a top-down, organization-wide and systematic approach to risk management in Defence. As a result, the Australian Defence Risk Management Framework (DRMF) was established. This study is a quest for the credibility of DRMF. It provides a review of the DRMF and a comparative analysis in light of other national and international, defence and non-defence risk management publications and practices. Through this study the appropriateness of the approach and the acceptability of the DRMF are confirmed. The application of risk management in force and capability options development and analysis is identified as an area of future research.
