We present two solutions for chromatic dispersion compensation in analog photonic links based on modulation diversity. Both concepts are described in theory and demonstrated experimentally. The first, a modulation diversity receiver, on the other hand, is shown to be a completely passive device that adequately compensates for an arbitrary amount of chromatic dispersion in an analog fiber optic link. A band-limited design of the receiver is demonstrated, but essentially any bandwidth can be realized.
