Longitudinal Circumferential Vibrations of Magnetostrictive Rings.

An experimental investigation of the longitudinal circumferential vibrations of magnetostrictive rings is the subject of this report. Two methods of exciting several orders of these modes of vibration by means of magnetostriction are described. Sensitivity curves and radiation patterns of experimental transducers operating in these modes are presented. (Author)
