Before designing a prototype of a large size throttling device for high temperature liquid sodium service in reactor systems, a survey was made of the classified and unclassified literature and of actual sodium installations to determine how valves have been performing. The information obtained from the unclassified portion of the survey is described in the basic report, while the classified information is given in this Supplement.
