BOUNDARY-LAYER-WIND MAXIMA AND ASSOCIATED TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTIONS AS OBSERVED ON THE 1400-FOOT TELEVISION TOWER NEAR DALLAS, TEXAS 1961-1962
Nearly two full years of wind and temperature data obtained from the instrumented television tower at Cedar Hill, Texas, provide the basis of the following summary. "Significant" wind maxima,nOne occurrence of a ten-minute average wind maximum per "day" (2000 CST to noon of the following day) were tabulated, along with time and height of occurrence and wind speed. In 606 "days" of wind data in 1961 and 1962, there were 369 cases (61%) of significant wind maxima on the tower.
