In preparing the symposium, fundamental attention was paid to the principal ideologi¬cal contents of inserted articles and to exhibiting the development of advanced ideas. Compared with the preceding symposium, new articles were included as follows:"Observatories and Instruments,""Latitude Service," "Meteorites," "Binary Stars," "Radio-Astronomy," and "A History of Astronomy." Unfortunately, an article on cosmology, because of a series of reasons, was not included in this symposium. She published articles are intended not only for specialists-astronomers but for general readers.
