TOTAL PRESSURE PROBE FOR A SUPERSONIC GAS FLOW WITH A SLIGHTLY NONUNIFORM VELOCITY FIELD

Receivers (probes) are known of full pressure in a supersonic flow, for instance, the Prandtl type, wedge-shaped, and others. For determining full pressure with their aid one determines the Mach number in the flow in accordance with the pressure behind the direct jump in density and the static of full pressure on the surface of the receiver. The error in measurement amounts to about 1.5％.
