Heat-transfer rate, pressure, and force are essential parameters which must be measured in the operation of a hotshot wind tunnel. Transducers of the proper size, range, and time response required for making these measurements are not generally available on a commercial basis. Therefore, developmental programs directed towards satisfaction of these measurement requirements were undertaken. As a result of these programs, transducers were developed which enabled these measurements to be made. Recent developments have resulted in measurement capabilities and accuracies which are superior to those of transducers which were developed early in these programs (about 1960). A description of these improved transducers and their performance characteristics is included. (Author)
