摘要

A technique for generating numerical randomly rough surfaces having specific directional spectra has been developed through the extension of the theory of linear systems into two dimensions. Wind driven 'sea'surfaces having Neumann direction spectra were modeled for wind speeds of 2.5, 5, 10,and 20 m/sec. These surfaces were tested through the normalized autocovariance functions and the variances. Over five decades of values, the individual variances for the modeled surfaces differed by no more than 20% from the theoretical values for the Neumann seas they modeled. The normalized autocovariance functions for the model surfaces were in agreement with the theoretical functions. The use of these surfaces in radiation scattering studies is discussed briefly.
