The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for a direct prediction of waves using offshore wind numeric model predicting data which can improve the accuracy by directly predicting waves from offshore wind predicting data of a weather numeric model without a calculating process for a numeric prediction model, and reduce a consumed time. The apparatus comprises: a calculating wave information for each offshore wind pattern and a DB which uses hindcast data of offshore winds in the past to make a category of offshore wind patterns, and calculates waves information for each offshore wind pattern to build a DB; and a real-time sea wave predicting information generating unit which determines a pattern type of offshore wind predicting data in real time, and performs a calculation of the wave information for each the offshore wind pattern and a calculation of the wave information on the corresponding pattern from the DB.
