Serological Evidence of Arbovirus Infection in Febrile Hospitalized Patients in Jakarta, Indonesia during 1970-71.

Serological evidence of arbovirus infection, presumably dengue, was detected in seven of 56 patients hospitalized with fever in Jakarta, Indonesia, during 1970-1971. Although the arbovirus group was significantly younger, there were no significant differences of signs and symptoms between the patients with fever due to arbovirus infection and those with fever due to other causes. Recent serological evidence of both A and B influenza activity was found in 13 other patients. (Author)
