United States Foreign Military Sales to Iran: Major Advantages and Disadvantages to Both Countries.

The Security Assistance Program is an integral part of the foreign policy of the United States. In light of the growth of the foreign military sales portion of the Program DOD logistics managers should be able to follow the achievements of the program by an analysis of its results in regard to one country which has shared a legacy of cooperation with the United States. The authors analyze the achievements of the foreign military sales program to Iran from 1965-1975 in terms of what advantages and disadvantages it has provided to both the United States and Iran.
