摘要

An analytical theory of vibration relaxation is presented showing explicitly the effects of the strength of the pumping, the anharmonicity of the energy level spacings, and the VV and VT kinetic rate models. The quasiequilibrium population distribution, the loci of the Treanor-Plateau boundary and the Plateau-Boltzmann knee, the nominal magnitude of the plateau, the ground-level vibrational temperature, and the rates of vibrational quanta and energy dissipations are obtained. A method for deducing quantiative information on kinetic rates at high quantum numbers from measured population distributions is suggested. (Author)
