The USAF Short Range Wideband Radio requirements presently embrace a cable replacement concept that allows the radio to be utilized in a stand-alone mode for direct replacement of the TRI-TAC high speed and low speed CX-11230 cable systems. The radio is also required to provide direct interfaces with collocated DGM multiplexers, digital voice orderwire, digital data orderwire and CESE when the radio is installed in suitable sheltered multiplexer assemblages. This specification establishes the requirements for the performance, design, fabrication, test, qualification and evaluation for the USAF Short Range Wideband Radio, AN/GRC-XXX. (Author)
