This Volume of the JTIDS Class 3 Terminal Conceptual Study Final Report is the Executive Summary. The Class 3 terminal will provide reliable JTIDS communications and position location to a broad spectrum of Army, Marine, Navy, and USAF users, in man-portable, vehicular, airborne, and water-borne applications where low cost, light weight, small size, and simplicity of user operation are important. This Executive Summary provides an overview of the total study and includes top-level summaries of the study highlights and of each of the six study tasks. It includes the key issues and accomplishments of each task and overall study conclusions. (Author)
