Guidelines are given for preparing an integrated Reliability/Maintainability (R/M) Program Plan for use in the procurement of future generation Ka-Band SATCOM equipment. Specific attention is given to the purpose, objectives and technical content of the R/M plan. Guidelines are given for documenting the procuring agencies data requirements, evaluating the contractor's R/M program plan, establishing the R/M test program design and maintaining management visibility and control of the total R/M program.
