摘要

The first Born Approximation is used to calculate the differential cross section for electron detachment from H(-) ions colliding with hydrogen atoms. The differential and total cross sections are evaluated for the resultant hydrogen atom in the 1(s) or 2(s) state and the target hydrogen atom in any ecited state up to n = 8. The scattering matrix includes the exchange of particles interaction, which has not been included in earlier work. The results are presented and compared with earlier work where possible. (Author)
