摘要

N-formyl-1-methionyl-1-leucyl-1-phenylalanine (FMLP) is a potent stimulant of migration and superoxide production by polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) from many species. Dog and rhesus monkey PMNs are poorly responsive to FMLP and believed not to express the formylpeptide receptor. The objectives of these studies were to determine if PMNs from dogs and rhesus monkeys could be modified with certain agents to migrate or generate an oxidative burst in response to FMLP.
