摘要

Infrared spectroscopy is used to characterize the molecular structure and orientation of acetonitrile adsorbed at the Au/aqueous solution interface. AC impedance measurements are used to determine the stoichiometry and energetics of the adsorption process in the same system. The results of these complementary techniques are analyzed considering the electrical double layer and qualitative molecular orbital theory. Reprints. (jes)
