During the research period covered by this annual report, the most significant achievements have been to obtain final regulatory and administrative approvals from the US Department of Defense, the Human Research Protection Offices, and the local ethic board. The recruitment process of potential human research subjects to enter the clinical trial received its go-ahead in September 2013 and everything is in place to allow the efficient conduct of this promising clinical trial.
