Synthesis and Antiviral Evaluation of Pyrazofurin Analogues

Synthetic methods have been investigated towards 5'-amino-5'deoxypyrazofurin, 5'-deoxy-5'-phosphonylpyrazofurin, 5'-deoxy-5'-phosphony lmethylpyrazofurin, a 5'-deoxy phosphoramidite pyrazofurin derivative, 3'-deoxy-3'-fluoropyrazofurin, and 5'-nor hydroxymethyl pyrazofurin. Preparation of the latter compound has been completed and this derivative will be submitted shortly for antiviral analysis.
