ON SOME CHEMICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF LYCOPODIUM L. ANDEQUISETUM L.

摘要

Four species belonging to two fern allies commonly found in India viz., Lycopodium clavatum, L. cernuum, Equisetum arvense and E. ramosissimum have been investigated for their photosynthetic pigments and chemical constitution. Their foliar epidermal features and spore morphology have also been studied. Recent advances concerning medicinal, ethnobotanical and other applied aspects of these plants have been discussed.
