Don't count on REACH exemptions and pre-register,says commission

Companies that have applied for their chemical substances to be exempted from REACH registration under Annex IV should still pre-register them,a European Commission official said last week.Speaking after the RECH pre-registration workshop in Brussels on April 14,the official said that of the 68 substances already listed in Annex IV of the REACH regulation,transferred from the previous EU substances regulation,only four have so far been acknowledged as meeting the exemption criteria set by the commission.
