Saudi Aramco to start up Manifa in June

Saudi Arabia’s offshore Manifa heavy crude field will begin early production in June, state-owned Saudi Aramco vicepresident of northern area oil operations Nasir Naimi says. The field, which will produce Arab Heavy crude, is scheduled to come on stream with an initial 500,000 b/d in the first half of this year, with output gradually rising to 900,000 b/d by 2014, Aramco says.
