This is the second of a two-part special issue dedicated to vascular trauma featuring articles relating to advances in the understanding of vascular injury and resuscitation following 10 years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan. This issue contains reports that examine the clinical approach to challenging injury patterns such as venous and cervical trauma as well as injury resulting from iatrogenic causes. Camion and Peck provide an outstanding review of an especially taxing scenario, vascular injury in the young. Finally, the article senior authored by Ricci provides an update on extremity fasciotomy following vascular injury and vascular injury repair.
