Selection, application and use of shopprimers

Aspects in selection, application and use of shopprimers are discussed. It includes historical developments of shopprimers, requirements of an ideal shopprimer, and shopprimer characteristics. The selection criteria such as corrosion protection, cutting and welding, heat resistance, secondary surface preparation and environmental issues are described. Application aspects include primary surface preparation, film thickness and surface roughness and supply of paint in Intermiediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).
