PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device that, when a character is input, selects an application according to the state of a terminal including time and a place among applications associated with the input character.;SOLUTION: An application selection device of the present invention includes: character input means for allowing a user to input a character; terminal information acquisition means for acquiring terminal information indicating the state of a terminal; relevant information storage means for storing therein application information identifying an application program, condition information indicating conditions for the terminal information, and a character in association with each other; selection means for selecting the application information associated with the input character and the condition information indicating conditions matching the acquired terminal information, from the application information stored in the relevant information storage means; and starting means for starting the application program identified by the selected application information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
