Integrated materials services supplier for demanding and aesthetic steel structures

Steel plays a key role as a material for contemporary solutions in the construction industry. In addition to meeting demanding structural requirements, steel can also satisfy aesthetic demands for filigree structures. Collaboration between companies carrying out the actual construction work is a critical factor in the successful marketing of high-quality products in the intensely competitive market environment of steel construction. The long-term partnership between construction company Max Bogl, materials supplier ThyssenKrupp Schulte and materials manufacturer Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes demonstrates how this networking and process optimisation by means of barcode technology can increase efficiency in construction work. One requirement is central to today's construction tasks: meeting high structural requirements while keeping the weight of the supporting structure low. The hot-finished structural hollow sections (circular, square and rectangular Mannesmann Stahlbau hollow sections -MSH) from V & M Tubes offer the ideal combination of high strength and low weight (Fig 1).
