The Digital Environment: The Trends and Risks of Development

摘要

The structure and dynamics of the growth of the global digital environment, as well as trends in the development and use of information technologies, are discussed. Risks that are related to using certain new information technologies (for example, cloud computing, mobile applications, and big data) are ana- lyzed. Problems are considered that are associated with the upcoming change of the dominant techno-eco- nomic paradigm and the beginning of the third industrial revolution, where information technologies play a key role. Certain conclusions, recommendations, and the most important problems that face the world infor- mation community are formulated.
