摘要

Food safety is a basic requirement, implying acceptable and safe level of contaminants, adulterants, naturally occurring toxins or any other substances that make food injurious to health. Quality control of food has a significant role in ensuring a high quality, safe and nutritious food supply for the public and additionally brings with it economic benefits derived from trade of safe and quality foods. The use of good and sound raw material is of primary importance for the achievement of the required end products of consistent quality. The aim of quality control is to achieve good as well as consistent standard quality in the product being produced and which is compatible with the market for which the product is intended.
