The newspapers have been full of global warming this week but, as we hit the end of another decade, it seems that shipping's "warming" problem is not the climate. After all, ships can operate in almost any weather conditions. The big problem for the shipping industry in the 2000s has been an acute case of "financial warming", with consequences that have made shipping, for some investors at least, too hot to handle.
