Ocean.us and the integrated ocean observing system:Concept to reality

The national ocean research leadership council established Ocean.US,The National office for integrated and sustained ocean observations,to improve observations in the global ad and coastal oceans of the united states.This action was taken in reacognition of the need for a sustained and integrated Ocean observing system (IOOS)that makes more effective use of existing resources,new knowledge and advances in technology as the means to develp a coordinated.
