HARRIS E SERIES EQUIPMENT TARGETS MINIMILL NEEDS

Harris Press & Shear has introduced its new E Sides line of ferrous processing equipment, which it says is the first machinery line designed specifically to meet the scrap-packaging requirements of minimill steelmakers.The E Series encompasses the following lines of equipment:· the all-new Harris GS line of baler/logger/shears, available in four models with varying cutting force-the 500-ton GS-5-E, 700-ton GS-7-E, 900- ton GS-9-E, and 1,100-ton CS-11-E;· the TG-2-E and TG-4-E models of ferrous balers;· the 700-ton H-7-E side-squeeze baler/logger/shear; and· the HS line of Harris shredders. Using the latest in solid-edge, three- dimensional computer-aided software, Harris designed its E Series equipment to include its latest advances in power and hydraulic technology. Also, Harris created each E Series machine based on the desired material-package specifications of today's electric-arc-furnace steelmakers.
