Based at the Yangzi river port of Zhangjiagang in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu, Jiangsu Shagang Group (Shagang) is China's largest privately‐owned steelmaker. Its portfolio includes a steelmaking subsidiary in the northern province of Henan and raw materials subsidiaries in the eastern province of Shandong and the southern region of Guangxi.
