Spot iron ore dips again as interest diminishes further

The seaborne iron ore market softened further Tuesday, tracking weak steel demand and lackluster buying, with the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index dropping 75 cents to $121.50/dry mt. "Steel sales are so weak that mills are becoming much more flexible with negotiating terms with their customers in order to send more material out for export," a Hong Kong-based trader said.
