Asian seaborne iron ore prices moved lower Friday amid continued weak liquidity in the spot market. S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index at $91.60/dry mt CFR North China Friday, down 40 cents/dmt on the day. The front-month October TSI swap was down 20 cents/dmt from Thursday at $88.55/dmt Friday. Market sources saw weak liquidity for October-arriving, medium-grade fines amid tepid restocking interests from Chinese mills.
