Whitehaven Coal axes 10 business development jobs

Whitehaven Coal is the latest coal company in Australia to shed workers due to falling commodity prices, saying Friday it will make ten business development staff redundant at its Brisbane office. The Sydney-based coal producer said it was "not immune to the continued decline in global coal prices" and like other coal companies was having to make "difficult decisions" to keep costs down.
