LME nickel contract sinks to one-year low

The three-month nickel contract traded on the London Metal Exchange’s electronic platform hit a one-year low of $13,910/mt Thursday. The move came after World Bureau of Metal Statistics supply and demand data published Wednesday showed the nickel market was estimated to be in a surplus of around 200,000 mt in 2014.
