US container scrap prices reach $230/mt CFR Taiwan

Taiwanese mills purchased containerized HMS I/II (80:20) from US dealers at $230/mt CFR Taiwan onThursday, achieving previously sought bids from earlier in the week. Sale prices were down $5/mt on dayand are now off $35/mt from the beginning of 2015. A recent round of US bulk scrap sales to Asia hasfurther dulled sentiment.
