Containerized scrap import prices into Taiwan slipped below $230/mt CFR on Wednesday due to the continued weakness in the Taiwanese rebar market along with the availability of competitively priced Chinese billet. The latest sales from US suppliers were concluded at $229-$230/mt CFR Taiwan for containerized heavy melting scrap 80:20, down from $230-$232/mt last week.
