摘要

Electrochemical reactions between complex species such as [Ni-antibiotics-cephra-dine] and dropping mercury electrode have been studied at pH = 7.30 ± 0.01 and mu = 1.0 M KSCN at 25°C.Kinetic parameters,viz.transfer coefficient (alpha),degree of irreversibility (A) and rate constant (k) have been determined.The complexation study showed 1:1:1,1:1:2 and 1:2:1 complexes of Ni with doxycycline,chlortetracycline,oxytetracycline,tetracycline,minocycline,amoxicillin and chloramphenicol as primary ligands and cephalothin as secondary ligands.The trend of stability constants of complexes was doxycycline < chlortetracycline < oxytetracycline < tetracycline < minocycline < amoxicillin < chloramphenicol can be explained on the basis of nature of the drugs and its bonding with metal.The study showed that transition state behaves between reactants and products response to applied potential and lies in the midway between dropping mercury electrode and solution interface.A small variation in potential not only affects the rate,but rate constant greatly.The values of stability constants showed that either cephradine or antibiotics or in combination of both or complexes could be used against Ni toxicity.
