SAN FRANCISCO-Workplace safety is the leading factor in a worker's decision to seek union representation,according to a poll by the Employment Law Alliance.After safety,which was cited by 64 percent of respondents,the top reasons for workers joining a union was getting better benefits,obtaining higher wages and increasing job security.
