Portland, OR - The number of workplace fatalities in Oregon remained relatively stable in 2009, according to an annual report from the Oregon Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation Program. The program identified 64 worker deaths in 2009, compared with 61 in 2008 and 68 in 2007. The state's fatality rate was 3.5 per 100,000 employees in 2009 - the same as the national rate that year.
