摘要

Westlawn, IA - Veterinarians may have an increased risk of being carriers for animal pathogens, and could put their families and animals they care for at risk, a new study said. University of Iowa College of Public Health researchers reviewed 66 reports on zoonotic pathogen infections among veterinarians. The report, published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (Vol. 234, No. 10), indicated that veterinarians could spread pathogens to their families, communities or other animals for which they care, being at an increased risk of infection themselves.
