Safety in the meatpacking industry

A ccording to the Bureau of Labor Statistics,meatpacking is one of the more dangerous jobs in the United States.People who work in beef,pork,and poultry processing facilities gut and cleave animal carcasses on assembly lines that run at a rapid pace.These conditions can translate into serious,potentially life-threatening risks for employees-cuts;strains;cumulative trauma;fall injuries;and exposure to chemicals,blood and fecal matter.
